Esther the same, at home or away
Fame hasn’t changed Esther Anderson’s outlook on life. The Geelong-born actress is the same happy, bubbly person she was as a child growing up in Belmont, her mother Rhonda says.‘‘Esther’s always been full of beans and a real chatterbox,’’ Mrs Anderson said. ‘‘She’s always been a bubbly person and we love to have her around. She has an infectious laugh and she hasn’t changed since she’s got older, she’s still happy.’’
Glamour girl Esther, best known for her role as Charlie Buckton on the long-running drama series Home and Away, is a nominee for the silver and gold Logie awards at Australian television’s night of nights on May 2.
And she’s always had a passion for entertaining. ‘‘She was always out there participating in different things,’’ Mrs Anderson said. ‘‘She loved Rock Eisteddfod and she was in that every year in high school. She loved performing and dancing in front of audiences.’’
After completing year 12 at Belmont High School, Esther studied psychology before travelling across Europe with friends. When she returned, Esther began a career in modelling, which took her to Japan six months of the year. And after striding the catwalk for six years, Esther turned her focus to acting and made an immediate impact.
‘‘ Esther’s acting teacher said, ‘ look, you’re good enough. I think you need an acting agent’,’’ Mrs Anderson said. ‘‘Once she had an acting agent, it was a very short time before she got an audition and a part as Charlie Buckton in Home and Away.’’ Within in a week, Esther had packed her bags and moved to Sydney, where she has forged her career.

Currently a policewoman on long-time Australian television series Home and Away, 20 year-old Anderson was always the entertainer. An eight year old Esther and her best friend Simone, often dressed up and performed in front of family and friends.

Dancing with the Stars
It's not official but there has been lots of talk about it in the past and also most recently at the Good Friday Appeal and even a small mention in a newspaper article.. It seems our girl might be one of the next contestants on Channel 7's Dancing with the Stars. Esther has often shown interest in the past and made several comments on the show including that she loves to watch it.This past weekend whilst on the panel at the Good Friday Appeal, Esther was asked about Dancing with the Stars and she lightly joked she wanted to call it Dancing with Esther. Let's hope these rumors turn out to be true and we get to see Esther on the dance floor sometime this year. We will definitely be watching and voting for her!

Cosmopolitan Photoshoot
Esther has ditched her police uniform and revealed a more saucy side showing off her stunning figure in a fashion photo shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine, in stores tomorrow. "The clothes were fantastic, and very different to my character Charlie's look," Anderson, 30, told The Sunday Telegraph. "It's fun going from a police uniform in Home And Away to getting all dolled up."This was a fun shoot. There was a creative vibe and the whole team really wanted to get some beautiful shots."
Like Gordon, Anderson traveled the world as a model before joining the Channel Seven soap two years ago. Now, the Chadwicks model is one of the most popular stars on Australian television, nominated last week for a Gold Logie Award along side the likes of Ray Meagher, Rebecca Gibney, Adam Hills and Wil Anderson.
